Privacy Policy
Janet Portal is a driver messaging and compliance dashboard for Amazon Delivery Service Partners (DSPs). This policy covers the Janet Portal dashboard and the Janet Portal · Cortex Sync browser extension for Google Chrome. It is written for the DSP owners and managers who use them.
What the Cortex Sync extension does
The extension runs in Chrome on a computer at a DSP station. Using the Cortex session the manager has already signed in to, it reads the station's operational reports from Amazon's DSP portal (Cortex, at logistics.amazon.com) and sends them to that DSP's own Janet Portal dashboard. It replaces downloading the same reports by hand.
- It reads only the pages and data feeds the signed-in Cortex user can already see: delivery routes, package status, driver itineraries, quality and customer-feedback reports, safety reports, the vehicle list and daily vehicle-inspection files.
- It sends that data only to the Janet Portal dashboard address the DSP configured, authenticated with a station key the DSP created in its own dashboard.
- It never reads, stores or transmits the Cortex password. It does not sign in on its own, and it does not change anything in Cortex.
- It does not read browsing history, other websites, bookmarks, or anything outside logistics.amazon.com and the configured Janet Portal dashboard.
- It keeps the dashboard address, site code and station key, plus a short status log, in Chrome's local extension storage on that computer. Nothing is sent to Janet Portal's developers or to any third party.
What the dashboard stores
The dashboard stores the reports described above together with the DSP's driver roster (names, Amazon transporter IDs, and the phone numbers the DSP provides for texting), the messages sent to drivers and drivers' replies, and manager accounts (name, email, a salted password hash). Each DSP's data is held in its own database and is never shared with another customer.
How data is used
Data is used only to run the service for the DSP that owns it: generating the coaching and compliance texts managers approve, showing the day's status, and producing summaries and reports. Driver phone numbers are used only to send the texts the DSP chooses to send. Report text may be processed by an AI model (Anthropic Claude) to draft messages; that processing is not used to train models.
Who can see it
The DSP's own managers, according to the roles the DSP sets. Janet Portal's operators access a customer's data only to provide support the customer asked for or to fix a fault. Data is not sold, rented or shared for advertising.
Where it lives and how it is protected
The service runs on Cloudflare's network with data stored in Cloudflare D1 in the United States. All traffic between the extension, the dashboard and the browser is encrypted (HTTPS). Station keys are random and can be revoked at any time from the dashboard, which immediately stops the extension that holds the old key.
Retention and deletion
Reports and messages are kept while the DSP is a customer so that history and trends are available. A DSP can ask for any data, or all of its data, to be deleted at any time; deletion is completed within 30 days. Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored on that computer.
Amazon
Janet Portal is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amazon. Cortex is Amazon's system and remains subject to Amazon's own terms; the DSP is responsible for using it in line with those terms.
